April 2019 holiday
It was a great and clean hotel with amazing facilities for the kids. Both the kids (aged 5 and 2) loved their time at Hilton in Dalaman. The food area was ideal for little children. The indoor kids' pool was an added bonus. The staff in the kids club were really friendly and welcoming.
First family holiday
Me, my wife and our 11 month old visited for a week at the end of March/early April 2019. This was our first 'proper' holiday and we couldn't have asked for more. Whilst it was out of season and some the restaurants and facilities were not available, there was still plenty on offer. There was a play area and gardens for our son which was more than adequate for his age. The food was lovely, some all inclusives are stale and the same but there was plenty of variety and good tasting food here. We tried the Chinese A la carte and it was delicious. Lunch at the beach was lovely, if you fancied burgers or pizzas. The staff were generally helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious, classy and clean and the grounds along with the mountain backdrop is gorgeous. Weather was late teens to early 20s and generally sunny which we were happy with. All in all a great trip.
Had a fantastic week in the October half term holidays. We had sun for 6 full days 29-32 celcius. Great for end of October beginning of November. Went with Jet2 Indulgence, 2 free drinks each on the plane, fast track and private transfer on arrival. Hotel was immaculate as was our room with complimentary mini bar, stocked daily. Food and waiter service was excellent. Roller blade bar service around the pool, either put your hand up or the waiter skated up to you. Heated outdoor pool in the aqua park which was great for my 6 yr old daughter to swim in. Also a toddler pool which was heated. The kids disco was OK, nothing special, our daughter liked it and that's all that mattered. Only went once to the evening outdoor performance, Africa Night and it was excellent, all top end performers. Only one thing I would say to improve the experience is to supply more cushioned sunbeds. I was up early so was lucky to get 1 of 20 for the whole resort. I've been to 3 and 4 star resorts where every lounger had them. Would definitely recommend and we would/will be going again. Enjoy
Superb stay at the hotel. Great family hotel.
We stayed at the hotel in April 2019. Airport to hotel journey: Only 20minutes. We booked private transfers. However, realised it was much cheaper to just get a taxi from the taxi rank. Other guests at the hotel did that and paid less for their transfers. Check in: Very quick and smooth check in. As we arrived late at night, the management was kind enough to send us a complimentary platter of sandwiches to our room. Our children 10years and 6 years were both given kids backpacks with colouring books which they were really happy with. Pools: They had an adult and a children's heated indoor pool. However, the kids indoor pool was very small. The adult and children's outdoor pools had slides which was great fun. There was always a lifeguard present. Food: The variety of food was excellent. second to none. They had various themes in the main restaurant every evening which was great. There was something for everyone. Kids loved the nuggets, chips , pizza. The desserts were really lovely too. At lunch time, we would go to the restaurant near the beach where you could order pizzas, burgers etc There was also a cafe where we could have unlimited ice cream, snacks, tea/coffee. There was plenty of seating areas. The main restaurant however, did get busy in the evening, and we did sometimes struggle to get a table, but we eventually managed to find one always. Rooms: The rooms were nice and clean and of a decent size. We were close to the lifts which was great. They were cleaned daily and to a great standard. Animation/Kids club: This was the best team in the hotel. They had activities planned for children and adults. The kids club was very secure - you could sign your kids in, they would get a special band and would only be let out when one of the parents collected them. This gave us assurance that our kids were safe. They had lots of activities including art, slime, play dough. They had a nice play area with a trampoline and other equipment. There was a mini disco in the evening which the kids loved. They also had a games room in the hotel with computers and a PS4 as well as a few board games to keep the kids busy. This was really handy as it rained a few days but there was plenty to keep the kids busy indoors. They had 2 table tennis tables inside too. If it was raining, the hotel had a buggy that would drive us down to the kids club which was fun. The downside of our trip: The guest relations manager (can't remember her name). We went to ask her about the Sarigerme shopping area. We were waiting to speak to her. She told us she would see us in 5minutes. She had a trainee with her. She took much longer than that. We asked her if we should come back in 20minutes and she said yes. When we returned, she was busy again. We waited a few minutes and then we just got frustrated and walked away. She then ended up finding us downstairs. We then asked her about how far the Sarigerme shops were. We clarified that we didn't want to do any extensive shopping and just wanted to explore whatever was local. She said the local shopping area was closed as it was off-peak season. We asked if there was any small supermarket or any other shops and she stood her grounds and said there was absolutel nothing. She said she could arrange a day out to a nearby market in Fethiye. We said we did not want a whole day out. She said there was nothing else and insisted we book a trip to Fethiye as that was the only shopping area. The kids were upset as they wanted to go out somewhere. Anyhow, we decided to google shops in Sarigerme. We managed to phone one of the shops and to our surprise someone answered the phone! Luckily, he spoke English. We asked if the shops were open and he said yes. He also added that not all the shops were open but he said there are still some shops that were open! We then got a taxi from outside the hotel. It was only 15 turkish liras each way. To our pleasant surprise, some shops were open, there was a supermarket, and also a tour organiser there. We had a gret time. Bought a few things and kids were happy- they got lovely backpacks. We were very disappointed at the unhelpful lady at the guest relations. I just can't remember her name but i'm sure the hotel will know- if she's still there- hopefully not. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend the Hilton hotel.
The best ever stay in Turkey we have had. So good we are coming back for more!
Well where do I start the Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort & Spa ticked all the boxes and some we didn't even know existed. We stayed here last October for two weeks just before half term. We were pleasantly surprised to find this hotel was full of residents from all over the UK and for a change. This was evident with how good the staff are at speaking English. We choose this hotel because of the Hilton name and the amazing reviews we have read. The children's clubs is simply the best there is. Fatma is the children's club manager, assisted by Nur, Malika and the girls. We felt safe leaving our children of 5 and 8 with Fatma and her team. Fatma made our stay so special for our son Mason who had his Birthday while on holiday. Our children were in tears when we had to leave. Before I go on, I must say that we have booked to go again this October 2020. We have never been to the same resort twice but although we did look at other hotels the deciding factor for us was the Children's club. It’s worth mentioning that the pool scene is fantastic at this hotel. It has huge pools with family areas as well as adult only. A great part of the pool was the shallow but wide ledge around the pols which made it safe for children. Although pools are colder this time of the year when the sun shines you warm up after a few seconds and the kids loved it. The separate children's pool and slide pool are heated which was another reason we choose this hotel. There is also a heated pool connected to the slide pool. The grounds are extensive so plenty of space to walk, run or get away from the crowds. The beach is huge but like most beaches in Turkey a dirty colour. There are however plenty of sun loungers and it’s the best place for peace and quiet and to get a tan. The weather is usually 25-30C but last year is was up to 35C so perfect. When you go in October always take so warm clothing as you can feel the drop in temperature. The hotel entertainment scene was exceptional with a children's club disco and then quality performances in the amphitheatre. After this there are live music acts also some during the day. During the week the children perform on stage which is a lovely touch. Friday you have the white party, open air cinema and the retro party. All events held at different locations on the resort. There are lots of bars and a great bars street inside the hotel. You have an adult’s rouge party in the sky and the brilliant citrus bar near the pools which serves Carte'dor ice cream all day and great coffees, cakes and alcohol. Premium brands are available everywhere and are included. There are many more bars if you get thirsty. The food is exceptional and as well as a great buffet you have al carte restaurants that you pay an additional charge for but are well worth it. I loved the Italian which had the best steak. We also tried the Chinese. This year we will go back to the Italian but also try the Turkish and Indian. At lunch time you can also use two restaurants with table service and in the afternoon amazing pancakes near the beach. During the day the roller skate girls will serve you. We had a lovely young lady serving us on skates called Anya but sadly she has gone back to her home country this year. She was an excellent example of how good the staff are and service they provide. The reception staff are friendly and helpful and especially Bunyod who was always smiling and very helpful. At dinner in the buffet restaurant we were always served by Fervi but he has now left for a new hotel in Dubai. At the citrus bar we had lovely service from the girl with the biggest smile Esra Cakir. There are too many great staff to mention. Reception and customer relations were really helpful in organising my special requests, which made our experience even better, thanks. The hotel is going through some investment and growth with the addition of lakes house an villas this year followed by a golf course in the near future. I hope the lake houses do not impact on the excellent service of this hotel but we are willing to find out when we come back this October. We considered upgrading to a lake house but went for sea view as we could not justify the price but I would love to try it one day. This hotel is simply wonderful, and I don’t believe our second visit will be the last. Thank you, Hilton team, for an amazing stay and see you in October. Chris
