Visited the property during 10-12 June and had an amazing stay and wonderful time. Ms. Michelle was very proficient during the check in process. Excellent rooms, beach and swimming pool. Had a great time during kayaking 🛶. Only suggestion would be that availability of Buggies should be improved for easy commutation.
Food and restaurant staff excellent
We went for two days at centara krabi The indian restaurent food and staff is excellect in service. The staff name jujube and team made our trip just like icing on the cake. She celebrated bday in such a special way that we can not forget lifetime.
I visited this property on my Thailand holidays. We can get to the property by Speed boat. Beautiful property with spacious room. The only problem we faced is that we reached the property around 1 pm, we had booked 2 room 1 was given as around 1.45- 2 but the other was given at around 5.30 in the evening creating lot of problem as we were tired by overnight journey. The restaurant bar Coast located near swimming pool with the beach view was great place to had some Pizza & pasta with excellent atmosphere & music... If you visit Krabi than I recommend this property...
We have been to several Grand Centara properties and this one, unfortunately, is the poorest. 1. Room not ready until 340pm even though hotel is not full 2. Room hastily and poorly made up with half eaten fruit left on the table, bathroom amenities not topped up, toilet light not working amongst others. 3. Kids club lacking in toys and located strangely in the basement level Saving grace was the good service by the F&B staff at Hagi, Coast and Suan Bua. Will recommend you to look elsewhere.
Beautiful Resort Ready For a Major Reno
This was my 3rd stay at the Centara Grand in Krabi and was overall a disappointing experience. The reason I keep going back is because the hotel is in a beautiful location, on a private beach, accessible by boat and the ride up to the hotel is fantastic. I always choose the Club rooms because my family and I love the Club Lounge. it is beautifully done and the staff there are lovely. Nothing is too much trouble and they do their best to accommodate the guests' requests. For the last 3 times we were there we had the pleasure of seeing Ms. Chacha at the lounge and she is the perfect example of a customer service professional.. She remembers her guests and always has a smile on her face. I booked 2 rooms for my family through booking.com and even though I requested it we were not given connecting rooms. When I confirmed that the rooms were connecting while checking-in I was told they weren't but they would try and accommodate our request. Unfortunately the hotel was full and it took the better part of 2 hours for us to get our rooms. When we finally got to the rooms I was shocked at the room we got. The hotel is quite old and it's age is showing. I noticed it the last time we were there and now regret not having said anything then because now it has gotten even worse. It is very obvious the bad shape the rooms are in, chipped furniture, limescale on the taps, etc. However the real shocker was the bathroom. Apart from the rust and mould all over it was tiny and disgusting. I had to call the lady from the lounge and physically show her and even she was surprised at the state the bathroom was in. I informed her that I will not be able to stay in that room and she tried her best to find us another room. As the hotel was full they could not give us connecting rooms again and offered us rooms in 2 separate buildings which I refused as I could not be so far away from my kids room. Eventually they were able to accommodate us in the same building but 1 room above the other. It wasn't ideal but the better option so I agreed. I do understand that the hotel was full but there were just too many people around and really spoiled the relaxing atmosphere we were hoping for, unlike the last 2 times we were there. The food was fine and we had our lunches and dinners at the Lotus restaurant, Suan Ban the Thai restaurant and at the beach restaurant as well. Breakfast in the main restaurant was a disaster as there were too many people there so we opted to have ours at the Club Lounge which was a much more tranquil and enjoyable experience. The rooms were up on a hill so we did use the buggy service quite a bit. It rained most of the time we were there so that service did come in handy. We had a lovely massage at the Cenevare spa even though they mixed up our timings and our 1 hour massage was shortened to 45mnts. After the disaster with the rooms especially giving me the disgusting bathroom, and the mix up with the massage I did expect some kind of gesture of goodwill or compensation especially being a Centara1 member but nothing was offered. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days and was overall a disappointing experience. The hotel is not worth the amount we spent and I think it's time to explore other resorts in Krabi instead of going back to this one.
