This recently renovated resort is a great all-rounder, suitable for all ages and in a wonderful spot in Cala Galdana bay. Tall trees offer plenty of shade by the pools and there’s a lift that takes you down to the beach where sun loungers and parasols are available to hire. The sheltered bay, fine white sands and warm, shallow waters are perfect for children as well as snorkellers. The resort has an activities programme as well as regular live music and events in the evening. Unwind during a yoga session or join a spinning or zumba class if you want to keep active. A breakfast buffet with freshly-made omelettes and pancakes is served on the sea-view terrace of Mosaico which also has extensive dinner buffets. The Italian à la carte restaurant, Casa Nostra, serves fresh spaghetti, pizzas and other typical Italian dishes, and is particularly popular with kids. The new Beach Club & Restaurant Cape Nao is in a superb location by the adults-only pool and beach – enjoy lunch or dinner followed by cocktails and live music and be sure to try Menorca’s famous local dish, lobster stew. Watch the sun set over the ocean with a cool drink in hand on the terrace of the chic Lobby Bar. The cosy rooms each have a small balcony or terrace. Melia Rooms have side sea views and there’s the option to upgrade to a Melia Cala Galdana View Room for stunning full sea views, or a Premium Cala Galdana View Room to look out over the beautiful bay.
These suites are ideal if you’re looking for your own space in a comfortable apartment, but still like the idea of having access to a full-service resort. The exclusive two-storey buildings are in landscaped gardens with beautiful Mediterranean Sea views, just a stone’s throw from the white sands of Punta Prima. Further up the hillside you’ll find the sister hotel, Insotel Punta Prima Resort & Spa, where you can enjoy the pools, à la carte restaurants, kids’ club and daily entertainment. Resort guests do not have access to the Prestige complex though, meaning you can relax and soak up the sun in private. There’s an indoor pool for families in the morning and adults only in the afternoon, a fitness centre and exclusive Prestige Spa with a range of treatments, sauna, steamroom and hydro-massage pool. The Prestige’s own stunning outdoor pool has breathtaking sea views, an adjacent snack bar and a lounge bar with a beautiful open-air terrace overlooking the water. You have your own restaurants: the Nura, which serves international and Menorcan buffets; and Sa Sivina, a new à la carte restaurant set on the terrace of the Lobby Bar with sea views and Mediterranean gourmet cuisine (reservation required). Just a few moments up the hill you can enjoy the à la carte options of Il Faro Italian Restaurant and Aire Tex Mex at Insotel Punta Prima Resort & Spa. Suites have either garden or sea views. Prestige Garden View Suites with Terrace are extremely spacious, designed in traditional Menorcan style with a living room, large terrace with sun loungers and bathroom with hydromassage bathtub and shower. Prestige Sea View Suites with Terrace are as above but with Mediterranean Sea views.
