A haute hideaway with healing hot springs
A romantic retreat in the Mallorcan countryside, home to the Balearics only thermal water spa.
This pared-down luxe hotel is all green shutters, stone walls and terracotta roofs. Set on the edge of a rural coastal nature reserve, an artisanal restaurant spills out onto a lush terrace and an outdoor pool is surrounded by nothing but green. The showpiece is the spa, with its thermal pool, underwater jets and exclusive hydrothermal therapies.

Rooms
The 37 airy rooms and suites feel almost like an extension of the spa, decorated as they are in a simple, restful and quietly luxurious style based around neutral colours, natural materials and splashes of colour from contemporary artworks. Opt for a Double Room Superior with Patio and you get a generous outdoor space in which to unwind; the Double Room Superior with Terrace gives direct access to the gardens by the pool. Peace is assured in the Junior Suite with Terrace with its garden views, while the Junior Suite Superior with Terrace looks out over the nature reserve. Largest of all is the Suite with Terrace; they’re all a little different, but have a partially separate sitting room.

Experience a sense of calm and serenity in the fabulous spa. Its mineral-rich thermal waters have been valued since at least Roman times for their healing properties. Nowadays, they power a thermal suite complete with a pool, Jacuzzi and baths for one or two, set under vaulted stone ceilings, as well as a steam room, sauna and Turkish bath. Outside, in the garden, lavender-edged paths lead to tucked-away hot tubs surrounded by loungers - little private escapes for more de-stressing.
It's worth hiking the coastal path for its spectacular views or you may prefer to head to the twice weekly market at Campos. Nearby Salobrar de Campos is a popular spot for bird watchers with over 1100 species identified.
It's just three kilometres to the beautiful Es Trenc beach. This long stretch of sand is set against a backdrop of pine trees. The island of Cabrera and its nature reserve is accessible by boat and popular with divers.
Rainwater is collected for irrigation, a purifying plant preserves water and solar panels have been fitted to preheat water and reduce gas consumption. The restaurant uses local Balearic suppliers to reduce carbon footprint and spa products are 100% ecological.
Guests over 16 years are welcome at this resort.
