New destinations, itineraries and lodges sit alongside trusted favourites 

From iconic train journeys in Cape Town and hidden beach retreats in Zanzibar, Kuoni’s latest Africa programme has been expanded and re-designed to offer a wider range of premium travel options and strengthen expertise as it looks to grow sales through the trade. 

The new look brochure is filled with inspirational itineraries and experiences which have been redesigned to bring destination to life and offers something for customers who are visiting for the first time as well as those who have done the classic “big cat safari” and are looking for something new.

Beyond Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe is back in the programme after years of political instability.  With a collection of handpicked camps and lodges, the country is positioned as one of Africa’s greatest gems for customers with a sense of adventure, including wild-walking in the UNESCO-listed Mana Pools. 

As well as including a range of new itineraries in Kenya, Tanzania and Zimbabwe, the collection is designed to inspire travel to Africa with recommended itineraries, which can all be tailored so customers can make it their own.

As well as new additions, focus has also been given to lodges and camps where Kuoni has particularly strong partnerships and positive client feedback, such as Governors Camp in Kenya.

There is a stronger emphasis on families with two safari options. The Samburu & Mara Family Special in Kenya which includes kid friendly camps and shorter game drive itineraries and the iconic Garden Route – Family Edition self-drive which packs in loads of experiences and great beaches for the ultimate family experience.

The new collection also has a strong conservation travel theme, with many safaris selected for their low- impact activities. The Porini Wilderness Safari in Kenya offers an authentic and adventurous safari experience with a strong wildlife conservation and sustainability theme.  Using only local guides, Porini lease Maasai land putting money back into local communities.

Africa continues to make its way up Kuoni’s list of best-selling destinations with South Africa listed at #10 and Kenya at #11.  Sales to East Africa, Kenya in particular, are growing rapidly with sales currently 24 per cent ahead on last year and in the last four weeks alone sales have been 40 per cent up.
