The Mall is the main hub of activity with many restaurants, bars and boutiques to discover. A stroll from The Mall’s highest point, Scandal Pint, to Combermere Bridge is a fantastic way to explore this beautiful city. With mock Tudor-style buildings, a Gothic Church and many remnants of the Raj, Shimla is a cultural gem.
Take the steep but rewarding climb to Shimla’s highest peak and visit the Jakhu Hill Temple. Here, mischievous but harmless monkeys will lovingly eat from your hand. The gothic Christ Church is one of the oldest in North India, with beautiful stained glass windows and fresco designed by Rudyard Kipling’s father, Lockwood. Golf lovers can take a day trip out of Shimla to the legendary Naldehra Golf Club, designed by Lord Curzon.
