About Our Organisation

Kuoni Travel UK is part of DER Touristik, one of Europe’s leading travel groups.

Kuoni has continued to set the pace in luxury worldwide travel in the UK market for almost 60 years and is regularly voted one of the best holiday companies in the country by readers of national newspapers and travel industry titles. The company excels in creating tailor-made holidays to destinations around the world and contracts airline seats, hotels and the services of destination management companies through a mix of both owned and third-party suppliers.

Kuoni has led the way in supporting sustainable practices within the tourism industry for many years.  The company works closely with its hotel and ground agent suppliers, requiring them to sign up to the Kuoni Code of Conduct. We trust in these hotels and agencies to do their utmost to respect and achieve the standards we set out. We have a responsibility towards society to be a good corporate citizen, from a sustainable supply chain to ethical human rights.

The Code of Conduct

Kuoni works closely with its hotel and ground agent suppliers, requiring them to sign up to the Kuoni Code of Conduct. We trust in these hotels and agencies to do their utmost to respect and achieve the standards we set out. We have a responsibility towards society to be a good corporate citizen, from a sustainable supply chain to ethical human rights.

The code of conduct can be found online here.

The code of conduct states there should be no form of forced labour or violation of human rights, wages must meet or exceed legal minimum and/or industry standards, with no illegal or unauthorised deductions from wages, working hours of employees must be in line with the legal requirements and/or industry requirements and do not allow or tolerate any child prostitution at premises and facilities.

We strive to ensure that travel has the most positive effect possible and we actively encourage hotel partners to implement credible 3rd party certifications recognised or approved by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).

Our impact report published details of the targets we have in place regarding certification. View here

Risk assessment and training

Kuoni UK continues to work closely with colleagues within the sustainability division of its parent company DER Touristik, travel trade associations such as ABTA and sustainability certification bodies to understand trends and risk areas.

The management team at Kuoni UK will not hesitate to take action if any supplier is in breach of the code of conduct, which will include removing hotels, tours or attractions from sale and/or reporting them to the relevant authorities.
