Bangkok By Night
Bangkok

Bangkok is a city that never sleeps, and while its nightlife is legendary, many of its most beautiful sights are often overlooked after dark. In the evening, temperatures drop and there's less traffic, so it's an ideal time to discover a different side of Bangkok. Travel by tuk tuk to discover speakeasy bars, illuminated temples, and mouthwatering street food.

Your journey begins at Sathorn (Saphan Taksin) Pier at 6.30pm, where you’ll meet your guide and set off on a short tuk tuk ride into Chinatown. Here, tucked away in narrow alleys, you’ll find a stylish speakeasy bar where a delicious local meal and a herb-infused cocktail await. From there, explore iconic landmarks that most visitors only see by day. Pass the Grand Palace, glowing majestically against the night sky and stroll through the serene grounds of a nearby temple–a tranquil experience that feels worlds apart from the daytime bustle.

Next, dive into Bangkok’s famous street food scene. The nighttime streets come alive with sizzling woks and fragrant aromas, and you’ll sample some of the city’s best dishes, including sweet treats from beloved dessert stalls, such as kluai thot– deliciously sticky pieces of deep-fried banana coated in sesame seeds - the perfect way to round off the evening.

Throughout the evening, tuk tuks whisk you between stops, adding a dash of adventure to the experience. The tour concludes around 10.30pm, either at Bangkok’s most colourful and lively night walking street or at Sam Yot MRT Station, depending on your preference.

• Duration: evening

Good to know
The tour is not suitable for children under 10. It can get surprisingly cool zipping around at night in an open-sided vehicle, so you’ll be grateful for the extra coverage. Transfers to departure point not included.

Discover The Real Bangkok by Bike
Bangkok

Get off the beaten track with a leisurely tour on two wheels through some of Bangkok’s most beguiling areas. After meeting up with your guide and collecting your bike, you’ll head into the heart of Yaowarat, the city’s vibrant Chinatown district. You’ll pedal through winding lanes lined with shops and stalls selling everything from Buddhist amulets to authentic street food, with a few stops along the way to buy and try. From here, you’ll cross the Chao Phraya river by ferry to Thonburi, once the capital of Thailand and now a relatively sleepy residential district.

You’ll pass tiny shrines and temples, narrow waterways, quaint little markets and people just going about their business - it’s not nicknamed “the living part of Bangkok” for nothing - before returning to your starting point.

• Half day

• Timings: 8am to 11am or 2pm to 5pm

• Daily departures

• Operates year round

• Group experience

Good to know
The tour is unsuitable for children under 12, but perfect for families with energetic teenagers. Bike and helmet rental is included, but transfers to/from your hotel are not.

Days 3-7

Koh Samui

After absorbing all Bangkok has to offer, you’ll be craving some island time. Koh Samui is so laid-back, it’s almost horizontal. And so will you be on a shaded sun lounger on white-sand shores with your favourite cocktail in hand. Want something to do? Take a trip to Wat Phra Yai, home to a towering golden Buddha, or head out on an adventure to uncover some hidden gems.

Koh Samui Off Road Escape: Temples, Waterfalls & Wonders
Koh Samui

See a side of Koh Samui that most visitors don’t even know exists on this adventure-filled safari by all-terrain 4x4. The imaginative itinerary includes a mix of headline destinations and off-the-beaten-track gems that even the locals rarely get to. You’ll stop to admire the 12-metre-high gilded statue of Buddha at Wat Phra Yai - a real island landmark - and the mummified body of a monk in a glass display case at Wat Khunaram. But you’ll also make two visits to the majestic waterfalls at Na Muang - once to splash in the pools at the bottom and later to take in the striking outlook from the top - and follow sandy tracks to a stunning viewpoint only insiders know about. You’ll discover a verdant secret Buddha garden high in the hills, from where you can see for miles, and find that even lunch comes with stunning views.

• Duration: full day
• Time: 9am to 4.30pm
• Operates Monday, Wednesday and Friday
• Operates year round
• Group experience

Good to know
The trip is suitable for all, but the path to the waterfall is quite steep, so wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and carry your belongings in a backpack to leave your hands free.

Days 8-11

Koh Phangan

Backpacker paradise Koh Phangan may be best known for its wild parties, but away from its south coast, there are palm-shaded beaches in sheltered coves and jungle-draped mountains where the loudest noise is birdsong and banded bullfrogs. If all that natural beauty has left you in a contemplative mood, embrace it in one of the island’s characterful Buddhist temples, found everywhere from sleepy villages to leafy hillsides.
