Punakaiki Resort
Remote eco-friendly resort
Punakaiki's famous Pancake Rocks are just 300 metres from this charming resort which offers fabulous coastal views and easy access to Paparoa National Park with its host of activities. The guest rooms offer garden or sea views - the latter are just metres from the beach, within earshot of the waves crashing on the shore.
Stroll down to the award-winning Jacob's Grill Restaurant to enjoy west coast food whilst drinking in the spectacular views available from the floor-to-ceiling windows which wrap around the restaurant. Sample regional wines and locally produced beers in The Club Bar which also boasts beautiful sea views.
The standard resort rooms and eco-suites each have en suite bathrooms and ocean views. The eco-suites are more spacious with kitchenette facilities and a kingsize bed and they have been designed and built to have minimum impact on the environment. Feel closer to nature at night-time with the resort’s subdued lighting which protects the endangered Westland Petrel that nests in the National Park.
