Treasures of the Tasman
Down Under Dreams

Two city stays and two countries on one immersive land and sea holiday. With Azamara Cruises, sail the coast of south-east Australia, cross the Tasman Sea and follow New Zealand’s spectacular coastline.
Azamara Pursuit’s small size means you can visit ports that larger ships can’t reach. She has a sleek design with a modern twist on traditional ship décor – there are dark wood fixtures and furnishings and marble features but with modern clean lines.
Itinerary overview
Trip notes
Before your cruise
The cruise begins in Melbourne so we’ve added a few nights here to start off your holiday. This will give you some time to check out some of the main sights of the city and its surroundings. This is already a relatively long holiday, but if you have some more time, you could always add on a few days going ‘there and back again’ on the eye-catching Great Ocean Road.

Trip notes
From North to South
Hopping around New Zealand’s jaw-dropping coastline is one for the books. After Milford Sound (more on that below), you’ll call into towns and cities, each one remarkably different from the last: Dunedin is a slice of Scotland on the edge of the Pacific; Christchurch is known for its gardens and bouncebackability; and Napier is an Art Deco enthusiast’s dream.

Trip notes
It's included
Azamara’s inclusions go beyond the norm. Alongside your meals – which are served in handful of dining venues and 24/7 in your stateroom – you can expect no bills for selected beers, wines, spirits and on-board gratuities. More time in port equals more time to explore and there’s an included AzAmazing Evening. These after nightfall performances are bespoke and unrivalled.

Trip notes
After your cruise
Round off your epic holiday with a couple of days in Auckland. You can get your bearings from the Sky Tower, take in skyline views from Mount Eden (Maungawhau) and hop on a ferry over to Rangitoto or Waiheke Island. Then you need to decide if you want to break up the journey home, perhaps in Singapore or San Francisco depending on the direction you travel.

Days 1 to 3
Melbourne, Australia
Shake off your jetlag and get to know downtown Melbourne. Perhaps you’ll explore ‘Fed’ Square, the South Bank, and the famous Laneways.
