Itinerary overview
Highlights of trip
Days 1-2
Singapore
We can't deny that it’s a long way to Australia from the UK, so rather than just touch down for a few hours en route, we’ve set aside a couple of days to explore one of South East Asia’s top tier destinations. If you like gardens, you’re in luck – there are plenty to pick from. And if high-end shopping and top-notch eats are more your thing, then you’ll be more than satisfied too: Singapore’s a delight for boutique browsers and epicureans. After a couple of days in, you’ll be adjusting to the time zone change and ready to make the trip down to Aus.

On your arrival day, drop your bags at the hotel and find a spot for a leisurely breakfast and take it all in; it’s a practically perfect introduction to your time in Australia. The next few days are split between independent city sojourns and a trip out to the and some time on the ultra-charming Phillip Island, home to the littlest penguins of them all: the blue penguins. It’s all about switching off in this part of the world – we’ll take you to Australia’s poster child beach, Whitehaven, which is totally unmissable but otherwise it’s all up to you. You can mess around on the water, tee off or trek to Passage Peak or take it totally easy. The isle is your oyster. You could also add on an optional night at the Reefsleep for a night under the stars and over the Great Barrier Reef; this one-of-a-kind experience would up the holiday ante.

Your first full day here focuses on (and under) the water – we’ve included a trip to a multi-activity platform on outer reef of Agincourt. From here, you can snorkel, dive, hop in a semi-submersible or just chill out in the underwater observatory. There are further reef options so just let us know what floats your boat. Then there’s a day that’s been set aside for your own adventures but can we have to put in a good word for a visit to Cape Tribulation and Mossman Gorge.

We recommend packing the next two days with some serious sightseeing: you’ve got an included tour of the Opera House and a pick of additional experiences to add on. These range from bridge climbs and sea plane flights to beach visits, cruises and a trip out to the almost impossibly beautiful Blue Mountains.
