Days 1-4

Al Hajar Mountains

Acting as a gate keeper between the Gulf of Oman coast and the desert, this otherworldly mountain range needs to be seen to be believed. Fill your days with sunset picnics, dinner under the stars, wellness moments on the mountainside, and souq and fort visits down in ancient Nizwa.

Days 5-6

Omani desert

Swap the hills for a couple of Arabian nights in the seemingly never-ending desert. You’ll venture into the desert to stay in a Bedouin-style camp, immersing yourself in the culture before setting off on adrenaline-upping dune bashing or sand boarding trips. Take a trip to an emerald-green desert oasis and arrange a private barbecue villa at your private tent; the desert really is your oyster.

Days 7-10

Muscat

Being in a city may seem like a bit of a gear change from the mountains and desert but Muscat has such a charm about it, the transition will be a sea breeze. Hop between the Grand Mosque, the waterfront corniche and the grand National Museum. You can climb fort watch towers, barter for woven baskets, frankincense and pottery, lose yourself in Old Town alleyways, and take sunset walks on the beach. This is urban Arabia without the ever-expanding skyscraper scene.
