Safari activities at Greater Hluhluwe-iMfolozi
The game reserves of KwaZulu-Natal are perfect for those seeking an authentic safari experience. Hluhluwe–iMfolozi is South Africa's oldest reserve and home to the Big Five, giraffe, cheetah, zebra, hippopotamus, wild dog and the elusive nyala antelope. The open plains, woodlands and riverine thickets are a haven for birds with almost half of the southern hemisphere's species found here. mFulaWozi Wilderness Game Reserve forms part of Hluhluwe–iMfolozi, creating a vast wilderness area of 100,000 hectares.

Day 1
Thompson's Bay
Arrive in Durban where you will be met and driven the 30 minutes along the Dolphin Coast to Sala Beach House where you will be staying for the next three nights. We've included transfers for you, but if you wish to rent a car, we can arrange this too. Sala Beach is a charming boutique property with a sense of place, plenty of personal service and a prime location overlooking the sandy beach of Thompson's Bay. Overnight Sala Beach House.

Days 2 & 3
Thompson's Bay
Two full days to explore. Sala Beach House has private access to the beach where you can explore the marine-rich tidal pools. Take a walk along the coastal trail, where from June to November humpback whales can often be seen off shore. The Ballito Lifestyle Centre and Ballito Junction Mall are close by if you want to do some shopping or you may want to head to the spa for a massage or sound bath experience. MfulaWozi Wilderness Game Reserve
Today you will travel four hours inland to the MfulaWozi Wilderness Game Reserve to spend three nights on safari.
