Dertour Foundation Donation
In the beginning there was an idea. The idea gave rise to a project. The project became an affair of the heart. And the realisation grew that the passionate will to do something good over the long term also requires a firm structure: the DERTOUR Foundation! It was initiated in 2014 by DERTOUR Group as a non-profit association. With this step, the internationally operating travel group acknowledges its social responsibility towards people and nature in the holiday destinations.

Saving the Coral Reefs in the Maldives
The Maldives Coral Institute helps coral reefs to survive and adapt to climate change. The DERTOUR Foundation, in partnership with the Maldives Coral Institute is supporting a project to save the coral reefs of Male Atoll.
Empowering women to be rickshaw drivers in India
Women make up a large proportion of the workforce in global tourism, but rickshaw drivers are predominantly male. The DERTOUR Foundation has purchased 8 e-rickshaws and trained 20 women as drivers and guides.
Mangrove Conservation in Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is on track to bring back 10,000 hectares of mangroves by 2030. Mangroves are huge CO2 absorbers and protect land from erosion. The DERTOUR Foundation protects and preserves mangroves in the Koggala Lagoon, with 6,000 trees planted so far.
“Know One to Teach One” our Vietnam social enterprise
The first social enterprise in Vietnam, committed to the philosophy of “once helped, help others”. In 2022, they launched “Her Turn”, a vocational hospitality training programme for young women from ethnic minorities who may otherwise be vulnerable to exploitation.
