Spice Island Beach Resort

Both grown-ups and the younger set will enjoy this five-star spot.

A Caribbean classic that has a stunning beachfront setting and exceptional levels of service

There are hotels around the world that are so well renowned that they barely need an introduction; Grenada’s refreshed Spice Island is one of them. This poster-child resort, which has recently refreshed its public areas, is fronted by a quarter of a mile of the island’s most famous beach, Grande Anse, and has gardens that are dotted with palms, sea grape trees and other tropical foliage. Guests return here year after year to experience that family-run vibe (the hotel is run by the family of the original owner, Sir Royston Hopkin) and white-glove style service where nothing is too much trouble.

Why we love Spice Island Beach Resort

  • The Nutmeg Pod Club has a fantastic full-day everyday programme of activities for kids.

  • Fine dining at Caribbean-meets-Creole Oliver’s is one of the best on the island.

  • Seagrape Suites feature beautiful private patios and double hammocks overlooking the beach.

  • Anthurium Pool Suites come with a private plunge pool.
