Cambria New Orleans Downtown Warehouse District

A red-brick warehouse in New Orleans’ Arts District has been reimagined as a contemporary and convenient hotel without losing a sense of the building’s industrial beginnings.

The Cambria New Orleans embraces the building’s previous life as a warehouse by weaving its rawness into the current design. Exposed concrete and pipework give it a sense of place and a confident nonchalance. Guests are made to feel that they’re part of the edgier, more artsy crowd here. But that doesn’t mean to say that the rooms aren’t incredibly comfortable. Pillowtop bedding, stylish monochrome bathrooms, and chaises make the rooms perfect pockets of calm from the melee of NOLA. Whether or not you consider yourself edgy or artsy, Cambria New Orleans is an excellent base to explore the city. It’s near the banks of the Mississippi River and a fifteen-minute walk to the French Quarter. But that’s if you can pull yourself away from the Warehouse District - the galleries of Julia Street will slow you down to admire the creations, and excellent cafes and restaurants serve as a major distraction.
