 Biyela Lodge

A perfect combination of safari and culture

Steeped in history, Biyela Lodge is named after a descendant of King Shaka.

Biyela Lodge is perched on a hilltop location with panoramic views across the White iMfolozi River below. The luxurious suites are modern and spacious and boast emperor-size beds which you can sink into after your safari and cultural adventures. Explore the variety of habitats on morning and afternoon game drives, perhaps join a wilderness walk or see how many of the 400 bird species you can tick off your checklist.

Why we love Biyela Lodge

  • Watch the sunrise from your private deck or plunge pool

  • This is a place to take your time, connect with nature and notice the smaller things as much as the big sightings

  • The area is steeped in Zulu history, and your guides will share stories of their land and culture

  • mFulaWozi forms part of South Africa’s oldest reserve
