This intimate and beautifully designed property has a beachfront location and great facilities.
With a superb location, chic interiors and exceptional dining, it’s no wonder this is one of Negombo’s most popular hotels. Its beachside setting means great views are a given, as are fun activities like kite-surfing, volleyball and deep-sea fishing. Stays here can be as chill or adventurous as you like. You can take it easy with pool dips and spa treatments. Or if you’re feeling restless, visit Buddhist temples, go birdwatching or take a train ride through the lush Sri Lankan countryside.
Why we love Jetwing Beach
-
It’s not only located on one of Sri Lanka’s most popular beaches, but it’s also just minutes from the airport making it the perfect place for a pre or post-flight stop over
-
Experiences make your stay here even better, from city tours to traditional cooking experiences and birdwatching adventures
-
Home to Black Coral, one of Negombo’s premier fine dining restaurants
-
Its graceful architecture is inspired by the work of Geoffrey Bawa, a Sri Lankan architect world-famous for his Tropical Modernist style.
This resort has earned internationally recognised certification that conform to standards set by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council.
Rooms
Jetwing Beach keeps it simple with 78 rooms split up into either Deluxe Rooms or Suites. They are all beautifully bright and airy with splashes of warm colour. Ocean views make them even more inviting. It’s the suites that really steal the show though. They’re some of the finest in the area with butler service, a jacuzzi and open-air courtyards with rain showers – perfect for a special kind of holiday.
For a special holiday, we love the Suites for their open-air courtyard bathrooms and the great butler service.
Facilities
From laid-back light bites to formal fine dining, there’s a selection of dining options to suit every mood – all complemented with wonderful Sri Lankan hospitality. For something extra special, try the Signature Dining experiences. Think casual beach BBQs, romantic star-lit meals and private feasts in your suite.
The Sands
Specialising in seafood, the resort’s main restaurant offers flavourful dishes and fine wines, with views out over the sandy bay.
Black Coral
The resort’s intimate fine-dining restaurant is open for dinner with an à la carte menu featuring the finest flavours.
The Deck
This laidback beachside café is the place to come for a breezy morning coffee, a light lunch or a refreshing drink between dips in the ocean.
The Terrace Bar
The perfect spot to end the day, this bar serves international spirits, exotic cocktails and fine wines from their own wine cellar.
Signature Dining*
If you fancy something a bit different to the usual main restaurant dinner, you can indulge in gourmet flavours at the beach barbeque or enjoy a romantic dinner under the stars. You can even feast in the comfort of your own suite if you prefer.
Dinner at Black Coral isn’t included in the meal plans, but its imaginative creations definitely merit the extra expense.

At the spa, guests can unwind in the steam room, or book a pampering session in the treatment room*. Options include everything from massages and body scrubs to facials and pedicures. Ayurvedic treatments are also available, including a full-body massage using warm oil that’s supremely relaxing.
The state-of-the-art gym overlooks the beach, so you can enjoy sea views while you keep fit. The spa is open from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm and the gym is open from 6.00am to 9.00pm.
There are two swimming pools for beating the heat. When you’re not enjoying lazy laps, slink into a lounger and feel the sea breeze. Guests at Jetwing Beach can also use the water sports centre at the nearby sister property Jetwing Lagoon, which offers activities such as jet skiing and boat rides.
Jetwing Beach is installed with a centralised hot water system with solar thermal panels. Sap from the coconut trees in the grounds is used to produce treacle and toddy, providing work for local makers. The flowers used to decorate the rooms and public areas are all grown in the hotel’s own on-site orchid nursery. Most of the fruit, vegetables and herbs used in the hotel kitchens are supplied by the in-house organic farm.
It’s in a great beachside location in Negombo, with family-friendly food options, lots to do and baby cots on request in the rooms.
Minimum stay: 3 nights 01-10 Jan.
