Thatched-roof tents sit on stilts with wooden decks overlooking the lush jungle landscapes. There are just 5 in total, each offering a enough room to relax. All tents have wooden flooring, king-sized beds, and cosy furnishings – perfect for unwinding after a day in the wild. You’ll find all the amenities you need including hot water and free Wi-Fi for sharing safari snaps. For an extra special stay, choose a Pool Suite, where you can cool off from the Sri Lankan sun with your very own private pool.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served on the lawn, beneath the lush jungle canopy, or under the covered dining room. Bespoke dining experiences can also be arranged – from laid-back BBQs round the campfire to more formal five-course dinners under the starry skies. They offer a range of options to suit each guest, from local Sri Lankan to international flavours. Drinks are also included – whether that’s a fresh fruit juice first thing or a glass of red before bed.

Sustainability is a big focus at Thamaravila Wilpattu. A rain water harvesting system provides water. To help minimise the use of plastics, guests are given reusable glass bottles. Chalets are topped with natural thatched roofs which act as natural insulators and are sourced locally. Trees are also planted to provide shelter and a healthy habitat for wildlife. All guests will have the opportunity to plant a tree to support the Rainforest Regeneration Project.
