Set on the unspoilt Bolgheri Coast in Tuscany’s Maremma region, The Sense Experience Resort offers an easy-going style of modern luxury on a pine-backed swathe of sand. The resort features 112 sleek rooms, a panoramic pool, electric bike hire, and two restaurants that give Tuscan cuisine a modern kick. A real highlight is its private beach, tucked beside the crystal-clear waters of Torre Mozza, which feels like a secret spot you might feel inclined to keep all to yourself. The Sense Experience Resort proves that sustainability and style can go hand in hand. Over 90% of its drinking water comes from on-site desalination, and clever systems reuse rainwater and pool water to keep the gardens thriving. Among a whole raft of wide-ranging measures, the team has planted more than 7,000 native shrubs to restore the dunes, creating a landscape that looks good and does good. In the restaurants, local produce and compostable tableware are the norm, and over 70% of waste is sorted and recycled.
