Mangia’s Santa Teresa Sardinia, Curio Collection by Hilton

Sardinia’s easygoing beach resort

Terracotta roofs, pale sand, and very clear water — this is Sardinia done properly.

This adults-orientated resort sits just outside the small town of Santa Teresa Gallura on Sardinia’s northern tip, where the island narrows and Corsica suddenly looks close enough to visit for lunch. The resort spreads across landscaped grounds above the coast, with low-rise buildings topped by terracotta roofs and main spaces that mix contemporary design with relaxed Sardinian influences. Think breezy interiors, natural textures and a layout that feels more like a village than a single hotel block. It’s also part of Curio Collection by Hilton, which essentially means the hotel keeps its own personality while benefiting from Hilton’s standards and service behind the scenes.

Why we love Mangia’s Santa Teresa Sardinia, Curio Collection by Hilton

  • The setting is the real star. You’ve got the turquoise waters with rocky coves and sandy stretches forming a classic northern Sardinian backdrop.

  • A Sardinian design style that leans into terracotta roofs, low-rise buildings, and breezy boho-inspired spaces that feel utterly Italian.

  • Because it has a subtly grown-up feel – chic spaces, a peaceful adults-only pool and a layout that suits couples or friends looking for a stylish Sardinian getaway.

  • Corsica is practically next door, making it surprisingly easy to hop across to Bonifacio for dramatic cliffs and a very convincing excuse to have lunch in France.

The wellness offering is designed more for unwinding than serious spa retreats, which fits the laid-back atmosphere of the resort. Expect treatment rooms for massages and beauty therapies, plus a gym if you feel like balancing beach time with a little exercise. There are also two outdoor pools, including an adults-only pool overlooking the Strait of Bonifacio and a second main pool area.

You won’t struggle to fill a day if you feel like staying active. A tennis court, a gym and organised fitness sessions such as yoga or pilates are all available, while the surrounding coastline offers excellent walking routes. The nearby village of Santa Teresa Gallura is only about ten minutes away by car if you fancy exploring cafés, shops or local restaurants beyond the resort.

The resort’s coastline isn’t just for swimming. The sheltered bay is ideal for snorkelling or simply floating around in very clear water.

The resort’s design helps it sit relatively lightly in the landscape. Buildings are low-rise and spread across the grounds rather than concentrated in a single block, following traditional Sardinian village architecture with natural materials. Landscaping uses Mediterranean plants that cope well with the local climate, helping the resort blend into the surrounding coastal scrub rather than dominating it.
