St Lucia & Grenada

Why choose between two Caribbean beauties when you can make your long-haul flight work harder and have both?

Saint Lucia and Grenada might sit close together on the map, but they offer completely different flavours. Saint Lucia is dramatic and mountainous, with iconic Piton peaks, lush rainforests, and a buzz of adventure. Grenada, on the other hand, is softer and slower, known as the Spice Island for its fragrant nutmeg groves, combined with the allure of white-sand beaches and laid-back charm. By pairing them up, you get the best of both worlds: Saint Lucia’s energy with Grenada’s ease. One holiday, two islands, twice the Caribbean magic.

Days 1-3

St Lucia

Begin in Saint Lucia, where the famous Pitons rise out of the sea and the landscape feels almost theatrical. You might head into the rainforest, take a dip in volcanic springs, or sail along the coast for those postcard views. There is a social side too, with rum bars and a lively Creole culture that keeps things vibrant. It is the ideal first chapter, adventurous yet balanced, and there is always time to stretch out on the beach before moving on. When the switch comes, a short 45-minute flight takes you across to Grenada.

Taste Of St Lucia
St Lucia

Enjoy a glimpse of island life away from the coast on an easy-going adventure. You’ll drive through the picturesque countryside of northern St Lucia to Lushan Country heritage site. Here, you’ll stretch your legs on a relaxed walk around the seven-acre family-owned plantation, learning all about the local trees, plants and birds, before sampling luscious tropical fruits straight from the tree. You’ll also drop in at a typical Creole house to see how some local dishes are made - and enjoy trying a few. Driving on through banana plantations, you’ll hear about the history and culture of the small communities you pass along the way before arriving at St Lucia Distillers for an engaging lesson in how rum is made. At the tasting bar, you’ll be able to sample a selection of different brands and buy a bottle of your favourite to take home. Last but not least is a stop at Marigot Bay with time to sit and enjoy a drink while soaking up the atmosphere.

• Duration: half day
• Time: 8.30am to 12.30pm
• Departs Monday to Friday
• Operates year round
• Private experience

Good to know
The distillery is a great place to pick up a bottle of rum at factory prices as they can package it up to go in checked-in luggage.

Days 4-8

Grenada

Grenada instantly changes the tempo. Life here moves more gently, the air scented with nutmeg and cocoa, the beaches wide and inviting. Grand Anse Beach is a highlight, but the island has quiet corners if you want them. Inland, the hills hide waterfalls and walking trails, while the water is clear and calm for snorkelling. Grenada gives you all the breathing space you need, the perfect counterbalance to Saint Lucia’s effervescence, and a smooth landing for the second half of your trip.

Grenada Rainforest Walk
Grenada

Grenada’s verdant interior is a natural wonderland of tropical fauna and flora. The Grand Etang Rainforest is your destination and you’ll spend a few hours out exploring the walkways and waterfalls. First up is the information centre where you can get a taster of what you may see; then you’ll head to the Grand Etang Lake, a crater lake 530 metres above sea level that is home to brightly coloured freshwater fish. There’ll be a short walk along the rainforest trails in the company of a knowledgeable guide who will point out interesting plants and animals along the way. On the way back to your hotel, you will stop of at the Annandale Waterfall where you can take some time to relax by the water or even take a quick dip in the pool below the falls.

• Duration: half day
• Daily departures
• Operates year-round
• Group experience

Good to know
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes for walking and pack swimming kit if you intend to take a dip at the waterfall.
