Playa del Carmen

Laid back bohemian vibes

Formerly known as a quaint fishing village, this area is now one of the Riviera's trendiest hotspots. Endless white beaches and turquoise waters are so inviting that you won't be able to resist to relax in the Mexican sunshine. Just off the coast, you'll also find the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, an underwater haven for snorkelers and scuba divers alike.

Isla Mujeres

Charming island paradise

Head further away from the hustle and bustle of mainland Mexico with a restful retreat on this island. The beaches are like something off a postcard and the crystal waters are so calm, it would be rude not to go in for a dip. Culturally, the island has a lot of history for you to discover also. In pre-Columbian times the island was sacred to Ixchel, the reverend Maya goddess of fertility and wife of the sun. Make sure to catch the sunrise at Punta Sur, the first place on the island where the rising sun touches the soil, and marvel at the statue honouring Ixchel.
