 Moon Palace Nizuc

Big energy, calm corners

Part of one of Cancun’s largest all-inclusive resorts, Moon Palace Nizuc is set on a long stretch of beach about 15 minutes from the airport, and it manages to feel relaxed despite its impressive scale.

Moon Palace is a huge resort complex set on a long, palm-lined stretch of beach. The resort is divided into three hotels: Moon Palace Cancun, Moon Palace The Grand, and this one — Moon Palace Nizuc. If you’re a guest at Nizuc, you can also use the facilities at Moon Palace Cancun (and vice versa), so you get a huge range of restaurants, pools, and activities to dip in and out of. Nizuc is a colourful, dazzling place with high standards, but if you want even more exclusivity, take a look at Moon Palace The Grand, which has its own set of restaurants and facilities.

Why we love Moon Palace Nizuc

  • Moon Palace Nizuc gets the balance right between lively and laid-back. You can find quiet corners when you want to unwind or join in the resort buzz when you fancy a bit more atmosphere.

  • Food is fabulously varied across the whole resort. There are endless choices, from Mexican to Italian to Japanese, and it’s all cooked with care. You can eat somewhere new every night and still be impressed by how fresh and varied it all feels.

  • There’s so much to do. Watersports? Check. Flowrider? Check. And kids and teens will be totally blown away by the incredible activities and facilities designed just for them.

  • It’s set on sensational beach, which would usually be the showstopper of a resort if there wasn’t so much else to see and do here.

What's Included

Moon Palace Nizuc is fully all-inclusive, covering meals, snacks, drinks, room service, and many on-site activities. Guests can dine at Nizuc’s own restaurants or explore those in Moon Palace Cancun, all included in the stay. The mini-bar and in-room liquor dispenser are restocked daily, and a good range of international and local brands are served at the bars. Non-motorised water sports are part of the package, while extras such as spa treatments, golf, and excursions cost more.

The wellness offering at Moon Palace is extensive, and guests at Nizuc have full access to the resort’s main spa and fitness facilities. The O Spa is one of the largest in the region, with hydrotherapy pools, steam rooms, saunas and a long menu of treatments that range from deep-tissue massages to locally inspired rituals using natural ingredients. There’s also a full-service salon and a quiet relaxation area for pre- and post-treatment lounging. The fitness centre is modern and well equipped with cardio and strength machines, free weights and daily group classes including yoga and spin. Outdoors, guests can join beach workouts, morning stretches or take a walk or cycle around the resort’s landscaped paths.

The calm Caribbean water makes it easy to get out on the sea. Non-motorised water sports like kayaking and paddleboarding are included, with equipment and help available if you need it. And if you’d rather float in the pool with a drink, we think that counts too.

The resort treats and reuses its own water, uses solar power, and works on protecting the surrounding mangroves and marine life. The grounds are landscaped with native plants that thrive in the local climate, helping reduce water use and support wildlife.

The Playroom Kids Club is open to children aged four and up and offers proper activities rather than just screens, such as crafts, cooking, mini sports and themed play zones with trained staff. Teens can spend time at Wired Lounge, which has gaming stations, air hockey and retro arcade games. There are several family-friendly pools across the resort, plus easy access to the beach for paddleboarding or sandcastle sessions. Rooms can be configured for families too, with interconnecting rooms, children’s amenities and space to spread out. Restaurants are relaxed about children, and the staff genuinely make an effort to include them, which takes the pressure off parents. Babysitting can be arranged for an extra charge, so adults still get time for dinner or a visit to the spa.
