Antigua Access All Areas

A double-the-fun, week-long holiday visiting both the east and northwest coasts of Antigua.

Antigua is bijou but mixes it up from coast to coast when it comes to vibes. On this holiday, you’ll see two sides of the story: the northwest which is all about calm beaches, and the east with its Atlantic-shaped beauty. Splitting your stay means you’ll spend less time on the road and more time seeing the sights on both coasts, and you can also combine both modest and magnificent resorts to get the most out of your holiday.

Days 1-4

East Antigua

The east coast is wonderfully wild and exposed to trade winds and the Atlantic Ocean which brings its own rewards (think dramatic views and windswept walks but also plenty of more sheltered coves). It is slightly less developed and there are plenty of hidden spots to explore. There’s a day set aside to join an included guided tour of the island that takes in its history, culture, flora and fauna.

Local highlights

East Antigua

The poster child of the east coast is Devil’s Bridge National Park, where the land-shaping power of the sea is plain to see. Pineapple Beach Club is one of the closest resorts to the park too so you’ll be there before the crowds. If you’re lucky enough to be staying on this side of the island on a Thursday or Saturday, you should head up to Shirley Heights for dinner, drinks and vibes. And if you’re not, head up for sunset anyway – the views are epic.

Days 5-8

North-west Antigua

The northwest has sheltered beaches and many of the larger (but most luxurious) resorts like Galley Bay Resort & Spa. It’s cool and calm and the place to go for some serious R&R and beach bliss. We’ve included a cooking class but we also recommend treating yourself to dinner in a candlelit dinner in a private cabana to send off your final night in style.

Local highlights

North-west Antigua

Spend a few days just chilling on Galley Bay Beach or hop along the west coast, stopping in Saint John’s, Antigua’s capital, and at some of the island’s finest stretches of sand along the way. There are also a handful of hiking trails nearby if you want to work off some of the buffet breakfasts.
