Spend your full day in Tokyo seeing different sides to the city: the modern Shibuya ward, the pop-culture focused Akihabara district and more traditional Asakusa where craft shops and historic temples can be found. End the day with some street eats along Nakamise-dori arcade which sits in the shadow of the iconic Sensoji Temple or making the most of the lively, neon-lit Shinjuku.

One of the region’s highlights is the jaw-dropping Haedong Yonggungsa, a sacred Buddhist temple which is perched on a rocky outcrop just metres above the sea. You’d be hard pushed to find a more stunningly situated temple.
