 Sala Beach House

Coastal elegance

The privately-owned Sala Beach House was completed in 2022. This charming boutique property has a prime location overlooking the sandy beach of Thompson's Bay.

Tucked away between the coastal towns of Ballito and Salt Rock, Sala Beach House is a contemporary and stylish boutique hotel. There's private access to a wonderful beach where the tidal pools are home to a multitude of marine life. From June to November, humpback whales can often be seen off shore, an added incentive if you are planing to hike the coastal trail. It's a great base for golfers too, with coastal championship golf courses nearby. It's the perfect destination to unwind after a KwaZulu Natal safari or a tour of the Battlefields.

Why we love Sala Beach House

  • You have direct access to Thompson's Bay where there is an Olympic-size tidal pool for swimming

  • Personal touches in the rooms include yoga mats and beach baskets with sunscreen

  • This is a great location for seasonal whale and dolphin watching

  • In the evening, gather by the fire pit for sundowners as you listen to the waves roling onto the shore

Perched above Thompson's Bay on KwaZulu-Natal's Dolphin Coast.
