Day 1

Arrive Mombasa

Day 2

Tsavo East

After breakfast, you will be driven inland passing through coastal villages and rural Kenya to Tsavo East National Park. Arrive just in time for lunch under a 200-year-old tamarind tree at Satao Camp. In the afternoon, there is time to take a late afternoon game drive in the national park. Overnight Satao Camp.

Day 3

Tsavo East

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in Tsavo East. This vast national park is famous for its red-looking elephants who bathe in the iron rich red earth. This is a wild and less developed park, home to a diverse population of wildlife including lion, leopard, buffalo and rhino. This region is also renowned for its prolific birdlife - over 500 species of birds have been recorded here. Between safaris, you can relax at the camp where elephants often congregate at the waterhole. Overnight Satao Camp.

Day 4

Malindi

After a morning game drive and breakfast, you will be driven to the Malindi coast where you will spend the next 6 nights relaxing at Diamonds Malindi. The resort offers a classic all-inclusive beach stay. Overnight Diamonds Malindi.

Day 5

Malindi

Each day, the sports centre team arrange a variety of activities including morning stretching, table tennis, volleyball and football on the beach. Diving, catamaran cruises and canoeing can also be arranged and most evenings there is entertainment. Overnight Diamonds Malindi.

Day 6

Malindi

A stay at Diamonds Malindi includes a visit to the resort's Exploreans Malaika Beach Club. After a 30-minute drive, you can relax on a pristine white sand beach overlooking a marine reserve. Overnight Diamonds Malindi.

Exploreans Malaika Beach Club

Guests staying at Diamonds Malindi can spend the day at the Exploreans Malaika Beach Club. Located on the spectacular Mayungu Beach and overlooking the turquoise waters of the marine reserve, you can relax on the sunbeds under the shade of a gazebo. At low tide, you can wade across to the white sand banks as they emerge from the sea. There is a wellness area if you fancy a massage on the beach and there is also a restaurant for lunch.

Day 7

Malindi

Today, you can take an optional tour of the 13th century Gede Ruins located south of Malindi. Set deep in a forest, the ruins provide a fascinating insight in the tribes that once lived here. This half day tour will get you back to the resort in time for an afternoon by the pool or on the beach. Overnight Diamonds Malindi.

Malindi and Watamu

On this fascinating half day tour, you will visit the 13th century Gede Ruins, Vasco da Gama Pillar and the Swahili town of Malindi. Leaving Malindi, you will travel deep into the forest south of the town where the remains of Gede Ruins can be found. You will see the ruins of palaces, courtroom and houses before visiting the National Museum which contains many artefacts excavated from the Gede site. Afterwards, you will be taken to Malindi Swahili town, where you will see the pillar placed by Vasco de Gama in 1499. A visit will also be made to the Portuguese church next to the pillar. This tour gives a good insight into the history and culture of Malindi.

Days 8 & 9

Malindi

Two further full days to enjoy the facilities of Diamonds Malindi. Perhaps treat yourself to a treatment at the Mvua African Rain Spa, or take a dip in one, or all, of the three swimming pools. Overnight Diamonds Malindi.

Day 10

Depart Malindi

Today you will be driven back to the airport for your flight home but if you wish to extend your time on the beach, extra nights can be arranged.
