Why we love Camp Moremi
-
The thick forested areas with ancient trees often attract baboons and leopard
-
The waterways are excellent for birding and over 400 species have been recorded in the reserve
-
There's no Wi-Fi here so this is a great destination to completely switch off so that you can fully absorb your natural surroundings
-
A sunken bar, built around a termite mound and ebony tree, is the place to meet fellow guests and share wildlife stories
Rooms
There are 12 thatched safari tents tucked away amongst the trees. Sliding glass doors lead out to your private deck overlooking the Moremi Game Reserve. The luxurious bathrooms have a shower and double vanity.
Facilities
Continental breakfast is served on the deck every morning with cereal, toast, muffins, cheese and cold meats. Later there is a hot brunch and high tea is served around 3pm. For dinner, everyone eats together on one big table while sharing stories from the day, tucking into a three-course meal with different menu options. The fire pit is a popular meeting point for pre and post dinner drinks.

When the camp was rebuilt, the idea was to ensure the smallest possible environmental footprint, so there are lots of eco-friendly touches, including a reverse osmosis water-treatment plant so water from the delta is made drinkable. Guests are given their own glass water bottle and there are refill stations dotted around the camp. Through Desert & Delta Safaris’ CARES program, a number of community initiatives and wildlife projects are also supported.
Children over the age of 6 are welcome at Camp Moremi and the Family Tent connects two bedrooms.
Children over 6 are welcome at this hotel.
