Promotion mix up - situation salvaged!
Our visit was to the restaurant at the Accra Beach. Our initial booking had been made based on out of date promotional material on a tourist board website. The hotel was unable to offer the promotion at that time and after some discussion, we chose to leave and eat elsewhere. I wrote to the hotel to express our disappointment at the turn of events. The manager, Suresh was very responsive and explained that there had been problems in getting the promotion scheme owners to keep the site updated. We were offered a meal on the house as a gesture of goodwill, which we accepted. Our return visit was a pleasant affair and with good memories and customer perception restored.
Look for the hidden prices not on show
Forced to stay in this hotel as Everyone has to when you go to Barbados. We was told we had to eat the buffet breakfast and not of the menu. They charged us $65 each for eating from the buffet. We have eggs toast and pancakes. They have a menu on line with three different prices from $30 to $45, nothing or nowhere saying it is $65 each. I complained they just said it is what it is. Also told that I could claim back my payment for my Forced imprisonment which was for two days and not one. Because the government had too many people to deal with. By the hotel.
Excellent hotel excellent staff excellent location
This was another excellent stay at Accra beach hotel the food and staff were great we had a 2 bed ocean front suit recently renovated and they were updating other rooms while we were there . We also ate at the sister hotel abidah and that was expertly executed really worth the visit . The bar staff Shane and shanika were great and the pool towel guy was excellent also . The manager was always on hand to help . We are regular visitors to the island and have stayed in many hotels here but keep returning to Accra as the location if you want south coast is great and the children love the pool . Thank you Suresh and your reception team restaurant and bar team and housekeeping we really enjoyed our 3 week stay and will be returning again
DO NOT STAY HERE!
Arrived yesterday with family abs one toddler of age 2 after 9 hours flight form London. Was dying for shower but NO HOT WATER in shower. Showered in cold water and toddler . After paying 12000 pounds on TUI package holiday , I’m regretting it. Toilet not flushing either. Staff are not bothered either! THERES NO ENTERTAINMENT a at this hotel due to COVID, wrongly advertised on the website !!! ROOMS with HOT TUB are not available currently! TV NOT WORKING, unable to switch off, so had to switch it off at the socket! Outdated abs not caring hotel, would definitely spend your well earned holiday after a long and stressful COVID year here! This is our first proper long haul holiday after a year of working as a doctor during COVID and this definitely not what you want!!!! Dr Perera
We checked with virgin beforehand that the hotel was fully open with all the facilities as advertised when we booked. The rooms had problems first room we had to move from as they couldn't get a key to work, 2nd room had a problem with the sink then they wanted to fob us of with a room facing the street when we paid for beach view. Only one bar was open and not the pool bar. Only one restaurant was open and there was no entertainment. And to round it off we had to isolate in the hotel for 2 days and the weather was terrible
