Tailor your tour
Make it your own
We’ve crafted this itinerary based on our own experiences and our customers’ feedback. It’s fully flexible, so talk to us and we can create your perfect trip.
Where to stay
To make the most of your time in Victoria Falls, family-run Ilala Lodge offers quick and easy access to the waterfalls. In Hwange National Park, we’ve chosen the Bomani Tented Lodge for its rustic character and spectacular setting in a private concession of the Ngamo Plains.
Just let us know if you’d like to add on some special experiences to the itinerary. We’ve based this trip on road transfers but it’s also possible to travel by train between Victoria Falls and Hwange National Park. Connecting Dete to Ngamo, the Elephant Express is a single-sided game-viewing carriage that travels right through the wilderness of Hwange.
Although this itinerary is just a week, the 4 nights in Victoria Falls and 3 nights in Hwange give you more than enough time to experience two of Zimbabwe’s most iconic destinations. If you’d like to have more time to explore, just chat to us about staying longer.
This one-week itinerary is great for a smaller budget, but if you have the time to spare it’s a superb start or end point to a South Africa adventure. Try tastings at the vineyards in the impressive Cape Winelands, soak in the culture of cosmopolitan Cape Town and self-drive along the iconic Garden Route.
