The best time to visit Jordan is March to May and September to November, when there are warm days followed by cool nights. This makes it more comfortable for visiting attractions like Petra, which requires a short but extraordinary walk to reach it. It’s also a great time to visit the Dead Sea and Aqaba for some time on the beach after your group tour. Summers can be unbearably hot and dry so it’s not advised to travel between July and August when temperatures can peak at around 40⁰C. In the winter months, temperatures can drop below freezing and there’s even occasional snowfall so packing extra layers for the evenings is recommended.
