A stronghold for the greater one-horned rhino, or Indian rhino, Kaziranga National Park holds two-thirds of the world’s population. You can also spot Indian elephant, wild water buffalo and an array of birdlife including Blyth’s kingfisher, great Indian hornbill and grey peacock pheasant. The endangered Ganges river dolphin can be found in Kaziranga’s rivers.
India is intoxicating. It’s frenetic in places but gloriously relaxed in others.
