Enjoy the best views of UNESCO-listed Mehrangarh Fort from our 18th-century haveli in Jodhpur. Set in the heart of the blue city, RAAS was once a sprawling family home, made from traditional red sandstone typical of the region. The Rajput architecture features stone-carved panels and antique shrines; we also added a modern section in 2009 which blends with the old. Our 40 rooms and four suites are luxurious, with sleek modern décor, black marble and flashes of Jodhpur blue – most rooms look out over the fort.
Refurbished by brothers Nikhilendra and Dhananjay Singh, RAAS is now known as Jodhpur’s first boutique hotel. The whole property is spread over five acres with gardens, a heated swimming pool and even an 18th-century temple. The original horse stables have been converted into relaxation areas and there’s a spa for traditional treatments. Guests love relaxing in our tranquil courtyards with unmatched views of the fort – no other hotel in Jodhpur enjoys such a prime position. The view is particularly amazing from our rooftop bar in the evenings, when the 15th-century fort is lit up.
As well as the view, our main USP at RAAS is the food. We have two restaurants, Darikhana and Baradari, which are run by our amazing chef Vishal Gautam and serve a mix of Indian, Italian and Thai dishes. We also pride ourselves on our eco-friendly credentials; we have an organic garden and source everything else we need from local vendors. Since RAAS lies in the centre of Jodhpur, it’s easy to access the city’s key landmarks on foot; we can provide guided heritage walks though if you wish, as well as yoga and meditation sessions at the hotel.
