Pedal through the streets of Udaipur as the city wakes up, meeting local artists and market vendors along the way. In Udaipur, people gather in the streets in the morning to have chai and snacks. You’ll see people bathing and washing their clothes as we cycle leisurely into the heart of the city at 7am. We pass key monuments like the clock tower and temples where people come to pray. You never know what you might see – perhaps a wedding or festival will have taken over the streets.
At this time of day, the vendors are just setting up their stalls, laying out the spices and vegetables. We’ll visit several markets like the Teej ka Chowk vegetable market and Mukherjee Chowk for fruit, where you’ll see colourful produce and meet the Hindu and Muslim vendors. People are very friendly and like interacting with visitors. We’ll also stop by a spice and bamboo-basket market, which demonstrates this ancient craft. A highlight of the tour is meeting potters who still work by hand using traditional techniques and materials.

Guests are also fond of the bright Indian colours that fill our streets – the old city is great for photography.
