Perfect Space for First Safari
This place was absolutely wonderful. My wife and I came on our honeymoon, and this was the first of two camps we went to. Greeted at the airstrip by our guide Titus and spotter Joseph, and from there we experienced a whirlwind of first class service, beautiful scenery, and wildlife beyond what we could have imagined. Tiitus and Joseph did a great job of getting us in the best spots to see the wildlife and made all of the game drives fun and engaging. You are going to spend a lot of time with the guides and these two were instant friends. At the camp, the chef (David I think) made some great food. The beef carpaccio was better than most of what I can get in NYC. Amos and another gentleman whose name I wish I could remember, really made sure we had plenty of food and wine. The camp manager made sure we had a great time, and our butler, Thomas, did a great job of making sure we were comfortable. I travel quite a bit for work and leisure, and this was a camp in name only. It mixed the thrill of safari with the finishings of some of the finest hotels I have stayed in. I cannot recommend this place enough. Every single person made this trip so enjoyable, to the point that saying goodbye was an emotional experience. I doubt we will ever see the people that worked at this camp again, but they will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Wow!! What a place!! Firstly before I even start on the amazing camp and location I want to thank the staff for making our honeymoon perfect. Asanti sana! The camp, it is better than any hotel I have ever stayed in. The lodges are immaculate, comfy and have all the pros of being under canvas without the cons. The location is stunning and if we could be in our Oribi lodge now we would jump at the chance. Sunset on the decking is beautiful and sitting listening to nature in the hot tub with a glass of wine (very good quality wine as well) was the perfect way to end the day. Grayson, we cannot thank you enough for your expert driving, passion for the animals, great company and being an all round safari genius! Absolute star! Saidi, our butler did everything we requested and so much more. Nothing was too much and the candle lit dinner in our lodge for our last night is something we will never forget. All the food is what you would expect in a fine dining restaurant, not the middle of the Serengeti. Stunning and delicious. Ally, Adam, Lawrence and Alex (plus more) all do an amazing job. Bushtops is run perfectly, with Pantaleo, Eric and Rose always about or available, checking that it is matching your dreams, you certainly met ours and exceeded them. Definitely have a swim if you get the chance. Sun downers are an unforgettable experience as was the bush breakfast. We felt so special! Thank you all. (Apologes if any names are spelt wrong)
It was amazing staying in bush top camps! In the middle of serengueti you can actually see lots of animals nearby. The lodge is amazing and the room very luxury and beatiful decoration. the views from the camp are stunning.
Amos- One of the BEST guides in Africa
4 of us stayed at Serengeti Bushtops for 4 nights. The camp was very nice and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. At first we were worried about the flies but the staff there treat the camps to make sure that the bugs are cleared out during the turndown services. Special shout out to ObeyGod of the restaurant. He was super attentive and made us feel special. He remembered everyone’s food and drinks preferences everyday. By the way, food was also amazing there! The seafood pasta was especially memorable. Most of all we were very grateful to have Amos as our field guide. We read from Tripadvisor that he was one of the best guides in Africa, and he definitely lived up to his reputation!!! We had so many requests and he delivered every single one of them. As soon as we got off the plane, we were greeted by Amos and tracker Bohke and went for a half day game drive enroute to the camp. For the next 3 days, we went for 3 full day (9 hours straight) game drives and 1 short one enroute to our airstrip on the morning we left. We felt extra special when Amos surprised us with a sunrise outdoor breakfast on our last day. Throughout our trip, Amos had no complaints and went above and beyond for us so that we could see as much as possible. It must’ve been so tiring for him but his attitude was amazingly positive! Even though there’s no guarantee of sightings, we were able to see 5 river crossings (at one of the crossings, a poor baby wildebeest was sadly captured by a crocodile, and shortly after the crossing was interrupted by a lion attempting to hunt the others!!), many lions, cheetahs, hyenas feeding, vultures feeding and many more amazing sightings. Too bad I could only upload 10 photos here because we saw so much! Amos was super knowledgeable about the animals and drove very long distances to get to the sightings. He was definitely one of the most experienced guides we met (having also visited 2 South African Safaris before). He started working at Bushtops since it’s establishment and we felt that he is truly passionate about the animals and loves his job. Thank you Amos once again for our lovely experience.
Amazing 5 star experience in the wild!!
One of a kind unique experience to be so close to wildlife and yet have a luxurious stay in one of the finest lodges in Serengeti! The staff is absolutely amazing - from the manager Pantaleo to the dining room staff led by ObeyGod. Our driver Kappia and spotter John were inexhaustibly enthusiastic about showing us the best that Serengeti can offer- including the wildebeest crossing the Mara river. The “tents” are spectacular and come with their own butler. Ours was Mustafa who took care of our every need including delivering fresh coffee at 5am before a game drive to hot water bottles in the bed during evening turndown. Highly recommend this place to the discerning traveler- it is truly “Wild Luxury”!! Asante Sana to the entire team!
