When to travel

•   Maldives – Peak season is between November and April, when it’s hot and dry. There’s more rain from May to July and September to November, but the temperature is still a toasty 32 degrees on average and the best value offers are available then, too.
•   Sri Lanka – It’s driest from November to March and July to August. Again, the best offers here are available during the UK’s summer months.
•   Seychelles’ – Peak season is during the UK’s summer months. May to October is cool with little rain, while April and November are hot, humid and wet. It’s wettest in January and driest in July, and temperatures reach 22 degrees in winter and 34 degrees in summer.
•   Mauritius – rainfall is highest from December to May and it’s hot and dry for the rest of the year. This may very depending on which side of the island you’re on, though, so double check before booking.
