Understated luxury and sheer elegance within a resort of palatial yet simple Cypriot style

Attentive and personalised service, a breathtaking setting and low-key luxury – the world-renowned Anassa has it all and more. Exuding the sleepy charm of a traditional Byzantine village, the resort's collection of classically styled low-rise buildings are set around a village square which has views out over the long sandy beach and the Mediterranean Sea. One of our favourite European spots for either a romantic retreat or a luxury holiday, there is no shortage of facilities, activities and perhaps more importantly, secluded spots to escape to. The Roman-style spa is an award-winning retreat with an indoor pool, thalassotherapy pools and a range of treatments using 100% organic products and seawater. Your children are well catered for here with clubs for youngsters from four months to 12 years.

Rooms

There are 166 rooms including 4 villas with private pools. The rooms and residences reflect the local style of the resort with Mediterranean-inspired décor, marble floors, light airy interiors and a balcony or terrace. In the main building you’ll find the pretty Garden View Rooms, as well as the Studio Suites which are more spacious and offer full sea views. For a little more privacy, the Garden Studio Suites are located in the landscaped gardens and have sea views. For families, we recommend the Interconnecting Studio Suites or the Interconnecting Garden Studio Suite which consist of two interconnecting studios. If you're looking for a little more space we recommend choosing one of the Junior Suites.

There are four wonderful restaurants allowing for a varied culinary experience with a real local touch as the fish is all fresh and much of the produce is sourced from local farms and villages. Most of the restaurants are aimed at providing fresh, wholesome and delicious food, with a couple specialising in family-friendly dining and one offering an adults-only retreat for those special romantic dinners.

Relax and let your troubles melt away in the beautiful Thalassa Spa, a luxury Roman-style health retreat. Here you’ll find a range of treatments including detoxifying treatments and holistic programmes, all of which offer long-term benefits. The spa also offers a small menu of healthy dishes as well saunas, steam baths and a seawater exercise pool.

Anassa's 'barbecue under the stars' will bring the whole family together over Cypriot music, grilled meats and fresh seafood. For a taste of local life, gather your family around the resort’s Byzantine chapel and village square for the weekly Cypriot village fair. Enjoy superb food, live music and folk dancing. Little ones will love the Paphos Aphrodite Waterpark, which is less than an hour from Anassa, and offers slides, a lazy river and a wave pool.

Families can opt for interconnecting rooms for privacy and peace of mind, or there are two and three bedroom suites available for the whole party to spread out in. For added luxury, choose a room with an exclusive private outdoor whirlpool or one of the four private villas, each with a private pool.

Minthis Hills Golf Club*: A championship course, with its high ocean views which offers all abilities year-round golfing and is just a 45 minute drive from Anassa. 18-hole, par 72.

Elea Golf Club*: Designed by renowned golf champion Nick Faldo located one hour's drive away, the course is set in a stunning landscape of olive and carob trees

offering 300 metres of landscaped driving range with target greens & bunkers. 18-hole, par 71.

Secret Valley Golf Club*: The course measures over 6,300 square metres, with large chipping area, driving range and video coaching. 18-hole, par 72.

Aphrodite Hills*: An undulating championship course perched on two high sea-view

plateaus, 13½ miles from Paphos. The Academy features a double-ended 350 metre range with bunkers and targets. 18 hole, par 71

Both Secret Valley and Aphrodite Hills are approximately an hour and a half away from Anassa.
