Island hopping in El Nido

El Nido Island Hopping

Our island hopping tour is the perfect way to experience El Nido’s natural beauty. Guests really enjoy kayaking in crystalline lagoons, snorkelling and visiting hidden, white-sand beaches.  To protect this beautiful corner of the Philippines, we make sure to offer low-impact activities with experienced marine guides.

Depending on tide levels and sea conditions, this half-day tour runs in either the morning or afternoon. Boarding a private boat, you’ll get to explore the Bacuit archipelago, a group of 45 remote islands that lie just off El Nido. Along the way, you’ll sail past huge limestone rock formations that rise from the water.  There’s plenty of time for swimming and snorkelling to see exotic fish among the coral – you might even spot a sea turtle.

Visiting the Secret Lagoon is a real highlight of the trip, as you’ll pass through a narrow crevice to reach a white-sand beach that’s hidden by steep cliffs. I personally love kayaking through the clear and calm waters of the Big and Small Lagoon and as a diver, I find El Nido’s reefs very accessible, especially for beginners. There are lots of fish and vibrant corals to see without having to get into scuba gear though!

Our guides are like heroes to many. They’re passionate about protecting our fish friends and reefs and will happily teach you all about El Nido’s rich biodiversity. We’ve even had an engaged couple who dropped their ring into the deepest waters out in the bay and the guide had to dive down to retrieve it. After lunch on board the boat, we head back to El Nido passing Snake Island, an S-shaped sandbar, to finish off our adventure.

Plan your holiday withAlfred&

Your journey will start with one of our UK team – someone like Suzanne, who's travelled extensively in The Philippines. They’ll shape your ideas into the trip of a lifetime. But they won't do it alone. They'll draw on the expertise of our contacts on the ground, connecting you to the people who'll make your holiday one you'll always remember – the free diver who can take you swimming with turtles, the guides who can take you to secret lagoons and hidden beaches, and the locals who can school you in the art of nipa weaving.
