Cruise the newest ship on the Yangtze River

There’s nothing like cruising along the stunning Yangtze River for the first time but with so much choice, choosing which ship to take can prove a bit of mission. How do you know which will give you the best experience? Are they going to speak English? Will you like the food? Aimed at the international market, visiting all the main sights along the river, the brand-new Century Glory ticks all the boxes.

With her maiden voyage in September 2019, she’s the newest vessel on the river and she certainly shows it. With space for up to 650 guests she almost feels like an ocean liner and her onboard facilities only further this sense. Soak up the panoramic views from the 1000 m2 sun deck as you travel downstream from Chongqing to Yichang or take a stroll along the jogging track and enjoy the river breeze before dining in The Globe dining room, lined with glass walls.

When you’re not off exploring the Shibaozhai Pagoda or the Three Gorges Dam there’s plenty of cultural experiences on board including morning Tai Chi, lectures on Chinese history and traditions, and you’ll have plenty of time to master your Mahjong skills in the Card Room. The entertainment goes on into the evening with buffet dinners, cabaret shows and even karaoke!

Plan your holiday withAlfred&

Your journey will start with one of our UK team – someone like Suzanne, who's travelled extensively in China. They’ll shape your ideas into the trip of a lifetime. But they won't do it alone. They'll draw on the expertise of our contacts on the ground, connecting you to the people who'll make your holiday one you'll always remember - the guides who can take you to The Great Wall’s quietest spots, the villagers who can show you how to create your own lucky clay cat and the cooks who can rustle you up breakfast pancakes, Shanghai-style.
