Chilled out holiday
Stayed here in March just got home before the Lockdown. We loved the hotel. Check in was quick and efficient ,greeted with a dink while they were checked in. The rooms are spacious with big balcony’s they were cleaned everyday and towels changed. Breakfast was very good everything you could think of to suit everyone’s taste The resturant was beside the beach and this is the only one so,all meals are taken here. There were 2 bars one at the main pool and one at the beach, were they did happy hour 3 fill 5 at-the pool ,then 5till 7 at the Beach The 4 pools here are great one small one is adults only although every pool had children in but then it’s down to parent control which there didn’t seem to be much control when we were there. Would be nice to have a bigger adults only pool. The grounds are a pleasure to walk through loved the walk to the beach. Sun beds on the beach. Not enough. They tried to control saving sun beds but that didn’t work very well. The staff are amazing always happy and obliging and due to the Corona Virus every morning they took our temperature as we went in for breakfast which made us feel they were on the ball. The hotel is just a short walk to Fisherman’s Village where you will find lots of Resturant’s and they have a big market Wednesday and Fridays. This is a brilliant hotel and I would recommend to anyone
enjoyable stay but
stayed here in Febuary. Our Tropical Room was spacious & the balcony area was large & private. No problems with housekeeping as it was kept extremley clean. We ate in the hotel restaurant several times and whilst the cost was a little more expensive (as expected ) the food was excellent. Likewise the breakfast, which included an egg station. The hotel is also in easy walking distance of many varied eateries, which are worth visiting. The hotel staff were friendly and obliging in all areas. However, whilst I appreciate this is described as a family hotel, we felt a larger dedicated adult pool area would have been desirable. Although our stay was not within school hlidays, there were many children, who appeared to be using every hotel pool. As many reviewers have mentioned the position regarding reserving sunbeds. In our experience this situation was hit & miss. It did become quite stressful not knowing whether our belongings would be removed even after 5 minutes. Understandable this is a difficult matter to police but hopefully a more structured approach is now in place. Overall a wonderful location.
I have stayed at the Bandara twice previously and found it to be an enjoyable experience... however, the hotel has made substantial improvement to what was already a good place to stay. The rooms have been upgraded to a high standard and the bars and restaurant have reached a really high standard of food and service. The staff proved to be exceptional and are a credit to the hotel. I felt like a real valued guest
Lovely hotel but not for anyone with mobility issues
Just on our way home after staying at the bandara through these troubled times. This is a lovely hotel definitely a 4 star in a great location 10 minutes walk from Fisherman’s village with lots of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops and right on Bophut beach. If your looking for a bit of luxury this probably isn’t for you but the rooms are lovely, clean and comfortable. It could do with another bar area away from the beach as this is very small and we found the cocktails a bit weak. The breakfast is good something for everyone and right on the beach. As this is the only restaurant this is where you will eat all your meals if you choose to dine at the hotel. Food is good but with so much choice on your doorstep your spoilt for choice. The half day trip around the island is definitely worth doing too. The staff are lovely very attentive and we loved Nern and all those that were in the hotel restaurant a big thank you for looking after us so well. One exception to the above was One who was in charge of the beach towels most days. We found him very rude and condescending. There is supposed to be a 20 min rule for towels being on sun beds if they are not occupied but he was selective with which ones he removed. All in all we had a lovely holiday so thank you to all at Bandara and Stay safe in the coming months
Fantastic Overall experience.
Centrally located at Bo phut about 20-30 minutes from the airport and about 30-40 minutes from the ferry docking pier. Short drive to central festival and a walkable distance along the beach to the Fisherman's village. Rooms were spacious, cost mid-range if booked well in advance you can get a bargain price. The staff were very friendly and had arranged for a surprise Birthday cake and arrangement f the bed with wishes. Clean, tidy and spacious rooms. Very good swimming pools and nice garden and above all loved the buffet breakfast. It is included in the cost of the hotel and the variety is plenty. Plenty of activities for the Adult and Children alike. The bar and the restaurant are located on the beach. Overall a very memorable experience and definitely worth visiting again. The cost of the massage and spa service is very high. One could get a reasonably priced, good massage service at the "Let's Relax Spa" just a couple of minutes' drive from the resort.
