Breezy Balearic vibes at an amber-tinged Mallorcan hideout.
Warm and welcoming, the family-owned Mon Port Hotel & Spa is tucked into the foothills of the Tramuntana Mountains, near the Bay of Andratx. Port d’Andratx is an exclusive enclave to the west of Mallorca, with a quiet boat-speckled harbour by day and a buzzier scene after dark, when the waterfront bars and restaurants twinkle like fairy lights strung along the promenade.
The design of Mon Port nods to traditional architecture: terracotta roofs and low-slung hacienda-style buildings, arranged around a large outdoor pool and palm-tree garden. Behind its amber-tinted façade, the hotel is filled with elegant rooms, painted in soft yellow hues and fitted with tiled floors and white wrought-iron bed frames. Many open onto private balconies or terraces, overlooking the UNESCO-protected Tramuntana Mountains. You can enjoy a wonderful buffet breakfast in the main restaurant, and there's a lovely piano bar with a shady terrace for chilled drinks, to a live music soundtrack.
The spa is a peaceful cocoon, with tiled floors and local stone. A thermal circuit loops around whirlpool baths, a sauna, steamroom, indoor pool and sensory showers, while the treatment menu spans Ayurveda, hydrotherapy, facials, massages and body therapies – the oxygen face treatment is great for tired skin.
