Perfect hotel for families with small children
Perfect family hotel- but only with smaller children since activities for older kids are limited. Nice architecture and nature. As mentioned in other reviews it is definitely not a 5 stars experience but rather 4 stars, but the service that is being provided was excellent. Plenty of friendly staff - especially in the restaurants.
Nice but not the 5 star experience we're used too
The village hotel is nice but as mentioned not the 5 star experience we are used to, perhaps because these other experiences were in Jamaica, Cuba and Mexico and this is the EU standard. Biggest disappointments: 1) the indoor swimming pool is only open for kids until 15:00, so on rainy or for whatever other reason, you can't enjoy as a family. In Addition, you can NEVER use the sauna if you have a family!! Because they don't turn it on until 15:00, and your children are not allowed in after 15:00, 2) the restaurants: everynight the same selection of desserts, perhaps one thing different and biggest complaint, you feel ripped off: if you have lunch at the village( only actual option is the beach front) you pay 27€ BUT if you walk 10m to the sister hotel, which you have free access to, the lunch with a bigger selection cost 10€!!, free drinks etc., 3) the rooms: VERY SMALL and NO privacy, regardless of low cost or higher level of family room the layout is always the same, 4) room cleaning: even with bed change/cleaning FULL OF SAND EVERYWHERE so overall, no 5 stars and likely would not return:( what did I like? The staff were very friendly....
Lovely All Inclusive
I was a bit dubious about going all-inclusive but with a 2-year-old it seemed a good option. I was really impressed with this lovely hotel. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. The food which was my biggest worry was actually really good. My only complaint was labeling. We are all vegetarian and while there was enough choice it was really hard sometimes to work out what had meat in it. If the hotel wanted to be even better I'd suggest making it clear whats suitable for veggies. The staff if you asked would happily create something vegetarian which was lovely but while running to feed a hungry toddler better labels would have been helpful. The staff are all super friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Everyone seemed genuinely nice and welcoming which was lovely. The pool area is clean and staff scrupulously come and pick up empty glasses and clean. We had no problem getting sun loungers. This hotel has limited children's pool but you can use the next door hotel which has a splash park so it was great for our little one. The mini disco was a big hit with my toddler as well. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see much of the evening shows but it looked like a great selection. Location wise it is literally steps from the beach which is wonderful. The beach itself is lovely clear water and you can wander a bit further along if you don't want to pay for sun loungers. If you want to relax and feel taken care of this is definitely th hotel for you.
Lovely hotel and staff, food ok
We stayed at this hotel in May. About 45 minutes from the airport via taxi, this is a beautifully located 5 star hotel in Alcudia. We stayed in a 1st floor sea view family room (well worth the extra money). Its a very family friendly place (lots of under 5s) with great access to the pool and the beach beyond. The beach was the cleanest beach Ive been to in Europe. The sea was calm, turquoise blue and shallow for some distance. We had the buffet (usually hate these) throughout the week. Its not one of those massive ones you get in American style hotels but the food was fine (European style dishes mainly). Strangely for me I really enjoyed the vegetable accompaniments. There's an excellent, reasonably priced supermarket plus a few eateries across the road if you fancy a change. The most impressive thing about this place was the excellent and relaxed customer service throughout the hotel. Only points of note are that over 5s might find it a bit too quiet in which case the neighbouring 4* Playa de Muro hotel may be a better bet (as a guest here you can use their facilities in any case). The bathroom has an open plan feel with the toilet and shower separated from the main hallway by unlocked frosted glass doors with gaps at the top. Fine for us as a young family but may not be to everybody's taste. Finally the sun loungers on the beach are not the hotel's. There's a 12.75 euro daily fee per pair with parasol. This is obviously a very well run hotel and I would definitely come back if in Majorca again.
Amazing Experience Over-And-Over Again
It was our fifth year in the Playa de Muro Village ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, and it only gets better every time. Truly fantastic staff (hint: with no significant changes from year to year, which clearly improves customer experience) makes the stay here as easy and unproblematic as you can only hope for. Beautiful, sandy beach and warm, clean Mediterranean adds to the perfect picture. Excellent service from start till finish, large selection of restaurants and bars (including those with sea-view), pools (including indoor!), fitness and numerous other activities (great animation team) made each our stay much too short. The rooms (nicely refurbished this year) are comfortable and clean. Clearly, the further from the street, the more quiet it gets. And if for some reason you would still think this is not enough, there is Playa de Muro ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ right next door with even more things to enjoy at no extra cost for the PdM Village guests. Our teenagers year after year have been spending all their time with the multilingual animation team here making some long lasting relationships. In summary, one of the best hotels we’ve ever been and it’s not only our opinion, but also those we had met here once and keep on meeting from vacation to vacation.
