Nature comes first at this eco resort, backing a quiet coral cove on the forested sands of Vietnam’s ‘Pearl Island’.
Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort & Spa captures the rustic-luxe feel of this mountainous isle, bringing you a mix of beach escapism and jungle wilderness. Tear yourself away from the pool or private bay and you could visit a local pepper plantation or learn how to rustle up a tasty Vietnamese dish with a cooking class hosted by one of the resort’s chefs. There’s also snorkelling and kayaking if you want to get out on the water, or if it’s relaxation you’re after, retreat to the open-air therapy room at Sim Valley Spa.
Why we love Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort & Spa
-
It has a spectacular island setting, immersed in nature with undisturbed views over the Gulf of Thailand
-
Local produce is picked fresh from the resort’s own herb gardens and rice paddies and served in its restaurants
-
The lodge-style bungalows and villas are full of character and charm, but don’t compromise on luxury
-
It’s a sustainable resort and is committed to planet-friendly projects, such as reef rehabilitation
Rooms
The villas have a traditional lodge feel, with lots of chunky wood and earthy tones, alongside tropical rain showers and big terraces overlooking the gardens or beach. You also have stunning Pool Villas with hillside or ocean views, and huge beachfront villas which are ideal if you’re travelling as a family.

A lot of thought has been put into the architecture, design and day to day running of this sustainable resort. Throughout the building process, wooden materials were locally sourced and up to 50% of what was leftover was then recycled to make furniture. Now, hot water is heated by solar power, its composting system reduces restaurant food waste, and single-use plastics have been replaced by eco-friendly alternatives wherever possible – from water bottles to in-room amenities.
