Great Roof Top Bar
Enjoyed two great afternoons in the roof top bar of this hotel. A really great spot to spend a chilled hour or two with great service & views. There’s an empty reception desk downstairs in the shopping centre but we managed to find a suitable receptionist to look after proceedings!!
We have stayed in The Vine hotel fro 10 days. Not even one day passed out that the service wasn't simply amazing. From decorations to the stuff this is one great hotel for staying in while visiting Madeira. Rooms are good size, Mini bar is free of charge and Champagne breakfast is must have. Sauna and the pool are great too. happy hour at the pool is great deal ! Would definitely stay again here.
City centre luxury
A lot of the hotels in Funchal are out to the West, a good walk or short bus ride into town. The Vine is perfectly placed in the city centre. Rooms are spacious and luxurious. Breakfast is fab. Rooftop bar has a great view to go with the pool and jacuzzi. The staff were very helpful.
Fantastic hotel in the heart of Funchal
First time in Madeira and wow, what a hotel! It was spot on. The rooftop pool and jacuzzi were just heaven! The location of the hotel is great, breakfast was very good and the rooms super comfy and great shower etc. Cannot fault anything! Will certainly be back :) 22 degrees in early December too 🙏🏽
visit to The Vine for the New years Eve celebrations
After parking our car in the underground car park we entered the hotel in what you might call "The back door" not too good, I hated the choice of floor throughout the hotel, even to the toilet and shower cubicle: a type of pebble set in concrete. Travel cases with wheels make a racket. Pleasant girl on reception and the porter showed us to our room and demonstrated the touch pad for lights and electric blinds. After settling in and taking a stroll along the sea front (nice) we returned to freshen up and get dressed for our night out. NO hot water!!! I phoned reception, a man answered and said he would investigate and get back to us, he never did. I ended up with a cold shower and boiled the kettle provided to manage a shave. I disliked the lights control panel at the door. To put toilet light on meant a walk to the door to accomplish. Extremely inconvenient in the middle of the night! One dining type chair and one arm chair was all that was provided. That was it!! Breakfast was a buffet and barely OK.. We paid premium prices (New year's Eve) for a very average occasion. On checkout the girl on the desk did apologise for the hot water.situation. .
