The 81 villas are fresh, stylish, and airy sanctuaries that invite a warm Maldivian breeze in through huge sliding doors. Beach Villas are just steps from the beach with a semi-open-air bathroom. Over Water Villas sit on stilts over the lagoon, with floor-to-ceiling windows and direct access to the water; upgrade to a west-facing villa for sunset views. All villas accommodate two adults and one child, except for Two Bedroom Beach Villas, which welcome two adults and two children, or four adults. The Over Water Villas that feature a private pool offer a truly romantic retreat in stylishly modern surroundings.

The ocean is at the heart of the Maafushivaru experience. Set in the spectacular South Ari Atoll, the resort places some of the Maldives' most remarkable underwater encounters within easy reach, including unforgettable excursions in search of the region's famous whale sharks.
You don't have to be a diver to discover the wonders beneath the surface. Slip on a mask and explore the colourful house reef, where tropical fish and vibrant marine life can be spotted just moments from the island. Guided snorkelling trips take you further afield, while the dive centre caters for everyone from complete beginners taking their first breaths underwater to experienced divers eager to explore the atoll's renowned dive sites.
Above the water, there's just as much to enjoy. Paddle across the lagoon by kayak or stand-up paddleboard for a gentler way to explore, or pick up the pace with a range of thrilling motorised watersports and marine excursions.
At the heart of the island, beneath the canopy of the Banyan tree, the Treehouse Kids Retreat has secret doors, lookout windows and hidden corners for little guests to explore. Open daily for children aged from four to 12 years of age, there's a daily schedule of different activities categorised into the theme of Create, Play or Explore. Whether your child is a pirate enthusiast or into their mindfulness and yoga, there's something everyone will enjoy. Plus there's optional evening babysitting available if you want some time just for the adults.
Children also have the chance to discover marine life below the surface. Guided by the resort's marine biologist and sustainability manager, your little one's minds will be blown by the vibrant reef life and will learn how they can help protect these delicate ecosystems.
