Restaurants & bars

Baros has given some serious thought to the menus and locations of its dining options. A restaurant with a real ‘wow’ factor, The Lighthouse is its crowning glory. A rarity in the Maldives for its elevation and panoramic views, it is architecturally spectacular; its tented white roof sail-like over the turquoise lagoon. Head upstairs to the lounge with its glorious views over the lagoon and let the sommelier recommend you a fine wine before heading to the restaurant below to dine on gourmet cuisine, such as fresh seafood with Asian flavours.

The Cayenne Grill offers casual al fresco dining and a satay bar, and at the overwater Lime Restaurant there’s all day dining with buffet breakfasts and à la carte menus later in the day. Sails Bar is a stunning open-sided cocktail bar, with an impressive range of drinks and plenty of seating outside under the palms.

Spa & wellness

Set within a tropical garden, the Serenity Spa specialises in bespoke packages. The four private spa suites are perfect for couples, each with an outdoor relaxation area, rainfall shower and bath tub. There’s also a Thai Sala for Thai massages, a garden relaxation sala and a yoga pavilion.

Diving

There's a glorious house reef perfect for snorkelling. There are also 30 dive sites reached within an hour of Baros, and a variety of dive courses are available at the dive school. 'Diving by Design' is a diving programme personalised on request by the diving instructors, certified as the first EcoDive resort in the Maldives. A resident marine biologist also provides expert information for diving excursions on the house reef.
