Kalima Resort & Villas Khao Lak

A contemporary boutique bolthole

This striking resort is a convenient sweet spot for island time and adventure in Khao Lak.

This edgy resort breaks away from the typical hotel blueprint with cool, geometric shapes and textures. It has an instantly recognisable design that stands out against any other hotel you might find in the area – like an ultra-modern twist on rustic forest cabins. The town centres and their night markets might be a short drive away, but the hotel itself is a refreshing sanctuary of comfort.

Why we love Kalima Resort & Villas Khao Lak

  • It feels luxuriously private thanks to its setting among mangrove forests and rubber plantations where two rivers meet the sea

  • From a design point of view, it’s impressive, with airy contemporary architecture that sits perfectly in the landscape

  • It’s only minutes from Tap Lamu Pier, the jumping-off point for snorkelling and diving trips to the stunning Similan Islands

  • Parents can unwind by the hilltop infinity pool or in the stylish spa while their children have fun in the well-equipped kids’ club
