This vast ski mountain is accessed from three different ‘resorts’ - Grand Hirafu, Niseko Village and Annapuri. With a huge 50 feet of snow each winter, this is powder heaven!
The resort is dominated by nearby Mount Youtei, a classically-shaped extinct volcano, and the area is rich in hot springs with several beautiful, natural Onsen to visit. Niseko is a ‘ski-what-you-can-see’ resort, with superb terrain and lots of off-piste, and is renowned for its dry, powder snow conditions. It is a big mountain with terrain to suit all standards and the peak season stretches from December into late February, with premium powder snow conditions persisting into early March.
Niseko Hirafu offers a fantastic ski resort experience with funky bars, shops and restaurants – plenty of traditional Japanese and western-style options to suit every palate. Niseko Village offers great ski-in/ski-out locations, but despite the name there is not much in the way of a village beyond the two hotels (Hilton & Greenleaf) – perfect for a quiet getaway.
