Perfectly relaxing short vacation
After a pretty busy and intense summer, we wanted to be somewhere where the location and the hotel were contributing to being at ease. GH Majestic on the lake definitely fit that criterion. Old building literally on the lake with a majestic interior court gives the feeling of luxurious freedom. It seemed to be populated mostly by Germans, however, everything stayed authentically Italian. Service and communication, from the first « buongiorno » was impeccable. From the room arrangement - definitely suggest a room with a view, to suggesting nearby restaurants, to reserving us a wonderful morning on the lake in a private motorboat to a smooth checkout. One person at the front desk was particularly exigent, proactive and focused while always communicating with a calm smile (pure deduction due to the mask:) is Sara Spagnoli. Thank you for quick solution to all. Only one note of improvement is the restaurant. It was well done but nothing more, tiny portions excessively priced, with a great service however. We will be going back !
Great hotel with panoramic terrace
We went there for an extended weekend, the hotel is great with beautiful garden and located just right in front of the lake maggiore. We loved the atmosphere of the hotel, our room had a beautiful balcony with wonder view of the lake. The breakfast and dinner experiences at hotel were another highlight, it was so well organized during current Corona time, a complement to Hotel management and staff, well done. Last but not least, try out the wellness and spa treatment, recommended!
Wow wow wow
Great charming hotel overlooking lake, spent 2 nights , very quiet and peaceful. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and a delightful experience with the restaurant views across the lake. The bar service was excellent and very friendly. Only a short stroll down to the main town. This area is so beautiful
Old world charm, stunning views of the lake, delicious breakfast, prime location
I stayed at the Grand Hotel Majestic on a trip with friends. My room faced the front, but it was in a corner so I still had a lovely mountain and partial lake view. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast delicious and the location is perfect because it's walking distance to the town, but just on the edge so you have peace and quiet. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of a very strange policy they have of discouraging guests to drink their own wine. One friend had a spectacular lake view room with a huge terrace, and our tradition on holiday is to go into town, find wine, cheese, bread and have a little happy hour before heading out. They were charged some kind of fees for disposing the wine bottles. Very strange and unexpected. Otherwise, it's a lovely wonderful place.
A very lovely historic property. Our rooms were considered Jr suites. We were on the 5th floor with a very large deck overlooking the lake. The only concern for us was the bedroom was on the second floor. We have some mobility issues so traveling up stairs to go to bed was an issue. The restaurant at the hotel was Michelin quality, Great meal, even better service.
